Living In The Flow; Applied Ayurveda

 In this healthy living workshop, we’ll learn our elemental Ayurvedic constitution and tendencies, and how the effects of our inner and outer world, including our environment, circadian rhythms, daily activity, diet and lifestyle choices impact our daily lives. 

Understanding our inner technology provides insight into how we interact and how to thrive within the ever changing world. Discovering how to live and work in relationship with our constitutional type is foundational to leveraging our inner technology that awakens awareness, improves relationships, and reduces stress, creating clarity, balance and harmony in our psychological, emotional and physical condition, and achieving deep health, peak performance and profound evolution. 

Chaya will lead us through an interactive talk with short experiential components that include contemplative centering, group activities and practical applications. Each is a short taste of how Ayurveda can be understood and purposefully applied to up-level your inner technology, lead from your strengths to feel better and live intentionally.

Ayurvedic Cooking Class & Food Fundamentals

“The most important thing you can do for your health is cook"

Learn how to cook Ayurvedically with a seasonal, simple, and healthy meal and modify according to your constitutional body type and condition. 

We will also practice conscious and mindful eating to improve digestion and awareness of our relationship to food.

May 22nd ~ 5:30PM-8:00PM at The ChayaVeda Annex

Breathing Into Spontaneous Calm

"Breath is central to Yoga, because it is essential for life, 

and Yoga is about Life" 

Regulation of the breath relieves stress, calms and balances the nervous system, regulating the systems and functioning of the body, mind and emotion. 

Regular breathing practice develops core strength and purifies the body, mind and senses, reducing the obstacles that inhibit clear perception, in order to prepare the mind to focus towards a chosen goal (YS 2.52). Then the senses are mastered (YS 2.55).
