PANCHAKARMA is Ayurveda's traditional and holistic method of creating personal clearing and rejuvenation for the body, mind and consciousness, and an immersion known for its beneficial effects on overall health and wellness that strengthens the body's capacity for its own self-healing.
10 Reasons Why You Should Do Panchakarma
The transition between seasons is a prime time to receive a panchakarma cleansing and rejuvenating program, though you can schedule one any time.
Programs are customized according to what is indicated for your constitution, age, condition and goals with a specific, natural, holistic, health promoting series of therapeutic massages and body treatments, specified diet, Ayurvedic health education, Yoga and Meditation/Yoga Nidra classes creating a balanced and holistic program to engineer healthy habits, improve energy, vitality, inner peace, confidence, well-being, longevity and purpose.
Your Ayurvedic Consultation includes a complete assessment to determine the appropriate steps needed, from diet and treatments to yoga and meditation, Chaya works closely with each client to monitor their progress at every step along the way.
Ayurveda believes that the causes of chronic disease are deep-rooted imbalances in the dosha (basic body elements)-dhatu (body tissues)-mala (waste products).
It has now been scientifically proven that a natural purification treatment can successfully eliminate environmentally toxic substances such as polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB's) and pesticides from the body, without any negative side effects. A study a laboratory at the Colorado University demonstrated that classical Panchakarma treatment eliminated up to 50% of the detectable toxins in the blood.
Purvakarma which is the preparation for panchakarma, helps to mobilize and liquefy waste products (ama) from the tissues and to move it out towards the intestines, which then allows Panchakarma to flush them out.
Panch means 5 and karma are the actions of this elimination process, which are tailored towards each individual.
Purvakarma is recommended for the full success of Panchakarma, though benefits can be attained without it as well.
Our program is custom-tailored to your constitution, and current state of health and desired wellness goals and can include:
Participants gain improved well being and in depth understanding of Ayurvedic principles, their self care and health and are inspired by Chaya’s vast knowledge, teaching skills and sensitivity, creating a life changing experience most people are longing for.
“Chaya’s capacity to reach in for the spiritual pertinence was at moments, breathtaking." Jane Schaeffer
"What I liked most was the time to digest both food and thought. To slow down and be in the reality as is without any interruptions of the external daily flow of ordinary life. The loving kindness of the therapists, Chaya and how they guided us through (the experience) with love, compassion and connection. The most significant experience was Chaya’s determination to go at your own pace and her constant searching for what was right for you. She was so knowledgeable and persistent in gently easing the layers of illness to peace, clarity and the stillness within. I am very grateful. The grounds were very serene and uplifting. Thank you Chaya for an experience of a life time. I can’t wait to share with others about this wonderful life changing experience." Deby Goldenberg, Educator, CT
"Chaya knows the teachings so well. The subtle levels of imbalance were addressed. The chanting and pranayama and darshans were highly effective in accessing healing prana. Loved small details like the movie, cooking class and fun. The most important aspect was the constant re-evaluation of progress during the program. A lot of fine tuning along the way. Clear directions and/or observation of personal traits supported growth. I found Chaya very interactive and passionate." Radika La Valley, Yoga Teacher, CT
