Through Chaya's decades of experience in leading Transformative Wellness Programs, she has received numerous testimonials for her life changing work and is passionate about creating, and committed to making, a positive impact.
Yoga and Ayurveda share the philosophy of the “kosha” model. Kosha means sheath or layer and the unity in Yoga implies a unification of the person on all of the 5 Kosha or layers; physical, energetic, mind & emotion, intuition, and spirit or bliss and outlines 10 steps to freedom at the core of our holistic journey to wellness.
Ayurveda is a root cause medicine, so as we peel away the layers through integration, we can more fully understand the root of our tendencies and habits which play a role in our relationship to life and the choices we make. We will learn about the role of the subtle body, the nervous system, and incorporate and create deep rest and rejuvenation that synchronizes brain waves and creates a heart/brain coherence associated with neuroplasticity, through our focused Yoga Therapy, Breathwork, Yoga Nidra and Ayurvedic Massage and Body Work, and combined with understanding your particular type of digestion, formulate a new relationship to food and our daily, seasonal and stage of life circadian rhythms, that play a role in digestion, our sleep and most of our biology and response to life.
Ayurveda is a practice about taking care of the body and Yoga is a practice about taking care of the mind. They overlap and in their highest view see self-awareness as the highest medicine that unlocks one’s full potential.
“Ayur” means Life, and Life is defined as the intelligent integration of the body, senses, mind and soul.
“Veda” means to know and implies a knowing that is beyond ordinary perception.
As we come together with consistency, sincerity and focus, creating the state of “Veda” we will know Life directly from a clear and purposeful perspective, share in this joyous unfolding and have a place to rejoice and strengthen our relationship to ourselves our connection to all that is.
The Basic Membership option offers a monthly workshop whose topic and theme will be woven into the classes, informing the monthly practices.
